Sambódromo
The avenue where Carnival becomes public.
After the rehearsals, the waiting rooms, the costume work, the fatigue, and the discipline of the samba schools, everything arrives here.
The Sambódromo is where preparation becomes public force: bodies under light, costumes in motion, music carried by thousands, and the city watching itself through Carnival.
The Avenue Opens
At the threshold of the parade, the body changes. The costume is no longer an object. The school is no longer preparing. The avenue asks for presence, rhythm, courage, and surrender.
Here, Carnival becomes public.

After the Avenue
The Carnival route closes here, but Rio continues beyond the avenue.
