RIO DE JANEIRO

STATE

WHERE COAST, CITY, FOREST AND RHYTHM MEET

Rio de janeiro

did not appear to me as one single story.

It arrived through surfaces and movement: the black and white pavement of Rio de Janeiro, the green silence around Paraty, the coastal light of Região dos Lagos, and the human pulse of carnival rehearsals, ateliers and streets.

This page is a doorway into those fragments. Not a complete portrait of Brazil, but a lived chapter gathered through encounters, passages, rhythm and memory.

Rio de Janeiro is more than a city.

It is also a state of coastlines, old towns, samba school rehearsals, painted walls, coastal roads, and places where the rhythm of Brazil changes from one shore to another.

This page gathers my Rio de Janeiro fragments: the city, the samba schools, Paraty, Região dos Lagos, Búzios, Cabo Frio, and the visual stories that belong to this part of Brazil.
